Considering what the nutritionist said (who we had the chance to interview at 2 weeks ago), I think that the most importance function of the mobile application is to educate.
Few people read the nutritional information of any product, and fewer still understanding the meaning.
This is why the idea of the app is not only give the nutritional info. about the blup!, but also teach, so everyone can apply it later.
Is it good or bad x% or grams of sodium? What is the Omega3? Which food helps for X diseases? Etc…
This and much more will be available in the app 🙂

Nutritional Facts

Now that we’re ending this awesome process, a lot of details appear that we have to work on. We spent many hours looking for a healthy tasty blup! but after talking to a few nutritionist we discover that there are some foods that are magical, for example the chía seeds have the power to diminish the chances of a heart attack in big numbers and this is the kind of ingredient that we need for our blups!

Final Stretch

We are in the final stretch. And now, we are preparing for Demo Day.
This opportunity was very useful to clarify ideas that even we still seem very broad, but nevertheless have been able to narrow (because we only have 3 minutes to expose our ideas)
– Which is the value of the product (blup!) ? That is healthy and attacks the main diseases associated with metabolic syndrome (diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular accidents, etc.)
– Which is the importance of the application? It allows educate people.
– Which is the importance of the delivery system? This is to everyone.

With these ideas we are creating our presentation.

Now that time flies, new challenges come to us. This monday we have the Demo Day, a contest in which different groups present their ideas fighting for a trip to Virginia Tech to defend their ideas and projects.

Designing-cooking-achieving…

After all this time trying to cook the perfect Blup! we get to understand how hard can this be. We enjoy cooking, we have fun, we get frustrated, we try and lastly we achieve. But it is not easy at all, this is a huge challenge and we are learning in the way how to cook, how to collect data and how to analyze it. In this late days after a try and error process we get to understand that the best way to collect information, for future analysis, is through detailed charts for each Blup! We’ve had to perfection it over and over but every time gets clearer and easier to have the information in our hands in the fastest way.

So here we go world, get ready for the Blups!

blup Fitness!

Today was a day of prototyping the blup for fitness, it’s been really difficult task because making something “diet” without any chemical substitute is really hard. In the beginning I started making something without almost anything, I chooses lettuce and spinach with some spice to make it more tasty, but it was awful when cooked and then rolled in the rice paper, then I tried with sparragus, celery and mushrooms. Even when that was not that bad, the process is kinda difficult to keep all of them within their juices. Now I’m trying a different approach making the fitness blup as it would be diuretic.
